Where to live
Chandler's neighborhoods, explained
From the historic downtown townsite to the lakefront estates of Ocotillo, here is how Chandler's neighborhoods compare, and how the housing market feels right now.
What is the housing market like in Chandler?
Chandler's median home price has hovered around $540,000 in recent years, which makes it more affordable than Scottsdale while staying pricier than much of Phoenix. It is a family-and-tech market: demand is driven by Intel, Microchip and the finance companies along the Loop 101, so well-priced homes in good school boundaries still move quickly.
The good news for buyers: price growth has cooled and inventory has grown, so there is more negotiating room than in the peak frenzy years. Sellers still benefit from Chandler's durable appeal, especially in the lakefront and golf communities.
